Well I'm nothing if not a tremendous eccentric, take a spin through my iPod and you will see what I mean.
I've always enjoyed taking pictures, comes down from my father who was a bit camera fan back in the day and has some truly classic SLRs in his collection.
He taught me originally on my old trusty Zenit 11 when I was but a young lad. It was always good fun going out and pulling together the basics of composition and learning the science of photography.
But then, as things do - time got away from me and life rolled on. I still enjoyed taking pictures but it became a secondary interest to my many others.
In 2007 I picked up a DSLR as a Christmas present and began the slow process of re-learning one of my old loves. Through a random quirk of fate I was asked to take some pictures for some friends and found I enjoyed model photography.
So here we are approaching 2010 and I have a strongly developing portfolio of my work. I've been lucky to work with some fantastic models and other creative artists to hone a style and to truly enjoy what I'm doing.
I draw inspiration primarily from music in truth, that's been the fuel on this journey and I would love to show you how it pulls me in some time. I listen to a broad mix of things but prefer strong concepts and feelings, the same things I try to portray.
In late 2009 I started working out of my studio, Starwind Studios (named for my favourite anime character) which will hopefully be moving to a new permanent location in 2010.
I shoot on average once a month and try to make great things happen when I do. Fancy coming along for the ride?
